WHAT IS THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA ?

Eligibility criteria is different for different institutes and for different courses. Some institutes may require the candidate to be a graduate in any subject with no minimum percentage, while some may ask for graduation with a certain minimum percentage of marks. IITs takes engineering graduates or Masters degree holder in certain subjects only.  Some of the one year programs or the part time programs may also require certain minimum work experience and/or a minimum age of up to 27 years . To give you an rough idea about the eligibility criteria we list down the same for some of the institutes, which may change anytime. These criteria are as on the day of writing this page ,  MBA aspirants are suggested to go through the websites of the institutes to check the latest eligibility criteria though this may not change frequently.

Eligibility criteria of Post Graduate Programme for IIMA:

The candidate must hold a Bachelor's Degree of any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. The Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent. Candidates appearing for the final bachelor's degree / equivalent qualification examination can also apply.  For CAT 2006 ,  only those with 50 % and above in qualifying exam are eligible, prior to CAT 2006 there was no requirement of minimum marks in the qualifying exam.

Eligibility Criteria of XLRI:

For PM & IR and BM programmes, graduates who have completed three years of Bachelor's degree in any discipline or  postgraduation in any discipline are eligible to apply. Candidates appearing for the final bachelor's degree / equivalent qualification examination can also apply.

Eligibility Criteria of MBA of IIT-Delhi:

The candidates having the following qualifications are eligible to apply for admission to the MBA programme:

1.Bachelor's Degree in any branch of Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Pharmacy/ B.Sc. Agriculture Engineering (minimum 4 years after 10+2)

2.Master's degree in any branch of Physical/Chemical/Mathematical Sciences like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Application, Electronic Science, Environmental Science, Operations Research, Computational/Information Science, Agriculture or Master's Degree in Commerce/ Economics.

Minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (of all the years/semesters) or 6.75 CGPA on a 10 point scale or equivalent in the above mentioned degree programmes essential for admission.

In the case of part-time students a minimum experience of two years will be required in addition to the above requirements.

Eligibility Criteria for FMS MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (FULL TIME)–DELHI

1. Candidates applying for admission to the first year of MBA (Full-Time) Programme must have pursued at least a 3-year Bachelor’s Degree Programme after 12 years of formal schooling in any of the following disciplines. The minimum requisite percentage of marks in different disciplines is as follows :-

* Arts, Commerce or Social Sciences - 50%
* Sciences - 55%
* Mathematics or Statistics - 60%
* Medicine, Engineering or Technology - 60% / CGPA of at least 6.00 in a scale of 10.00
OR  
* Post Graduate or 2nd Degree Examination after 10+2+3 scheme, securing at least 60% marks. .
