ONLY MANAN SHAMIHOKE CLEAR THIS GD . GUNJAN RAWAT AND DEBABRATA NAG ALSO DID WELL, BUT NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO CLEAR THE GD.
***************
A.Jain: ashish from surat..final yr B.com
Prachi Arora: m prachi from noida , final year bba
Amit Kumar: Hi, Amit from Bangalore, wkg
Manan Shamihoke: Hello All... this is Manan Shamihoke from
Ahmedabad. I've done B.E. in computers and have 15 months of
experience
Gunjan Rawat: hello I am Gunjan B.tech from Bhopal
Debabrata nagDebabrata nag: I am currently studying chemical engineering, third
year, like to listen to music, from kolkata
Ankit Soni: HI EVERYBODY, I M ANKIT FRM AHD, DOING MY BACHELORS IN
COMMERCE
www.UrPercentile.com: THE TOPIC OF DISCUSSION IS " SHOULD BUDDHA
SMILE"
Debabrata nag: I think this topic refers to what BUDDHA has been
teaching, and what today's scenario is, How would BUDDHA think of
today, Should he smile upon our lack for vision for future??
Manan Shamihoke: Hi everyone... Our topic for GD is "Should Buddha
Smile". I can take this as a question and the obvious answer for
this would be YES. YES BUDDHA SHALL SMILE. This is so because
laughing Buddha signifies luck and glory... it signifies good will
and thus Buddha shall always smile. Buddha smiling can signify
glory in each and every form... every field... be it spiritual,
economic, national... everything. The statement suggests that
everything shall grwo towards good tomorrow
Amit Kumar: Buddha to me is myriad opportunities, luck. Yes Buddha
should smile considering India's unprecedented growth . We people
today have lots of resources, opportunities using which we can prove
ourselves. True. Smiling Buddha is optimism, that keep trying,
working. Tomorrow will be yours
A.Jain: "Buddha" is the designation for a person who comes to the
peak of sentient evolution, beyond the stages and states of humans
and even gods. It is defined as "awakened" from the sleep of
misknowledge, and as "blossomed" into the omniscience and competence
of universal compassion
Ankit Soni: LAUGHING IS GUD FOR EVERYBODY, AND AS BUDHHA IS IDOL FOR
MOST, IS SHOULD BE SMILING ONLY. IT GIVES TEACHING AND BUDHHA
SMILING CAN LEAVE POSITIVE IMPACT ON EVERYBODY
Gunjan Rawat: Buddha is the sign of good luck , source of positive
energy as told in feng shui ....smile is also positive in
nature...smiling Buddha is of good significance
Debabrata nag: But today the world cannot let BUDDHA smile out of
satisfaction but he can definitely smile upon our acts as we have
all read his eight fold path, but only limited to the history books.
But still we believe that in today's world too if we see a laughing
BUDDHA it would bring luck and prosperity
Manan Shamihoke: We can also relate it today's world. Todays world
is full of sins. It is not as pure as it was in the times of Buddha.
But then also Buddha smile... This signifies poositive attitude.
That one shall always smile no matter the situation is. Only then...
he'd be able to correct everything. The gist is that see everythiing
from a positive point of view and everything will get better
Amit Kumar: I think there is a deviation. We need to distinguish
just smiling Buddha from 'well composed, equianimus'. Latter which
is more important
Ankit Soni: OFCOURSE IN WORLD LIKE ITS TODAY, WHERE WE HAVE SINS,
BUDHHA TEACHES US TRUTH N DIGNITY. SO WHERES THERE SORROW, SMILING
CAN HELP US IN RECOVERING FROM OUR SORROWS ALSO. BUT BUDDHA IS NOT
THE REAL NAME
A.Jain: Noble men and heroes may have been dead for centuries but
when we read of their deeds and achievements we can still be
inspired to act as they did. Yes, the Buddha is dead but 2500 years
later his teachings still help people, his example still inspires
people, his words still change lives. The name Buddha comes from the
word 'budhi' which means 'to wake up' and thus Buddha is the
philosophy of awakening.
Gunjan Rawat: Buddha had taught self satisfaction , life of
optimism , a pious life ....calmness, serenity ..... Buddha smiling
signifies the same person and thought
Manan Shamihoke: This can also be seen as a message from the god
directly. He is asking us... asking we humans whether we want him to
smile or not? He is a god today but he also lived a human life
several years ago. He'll smile when he'll be happy and he'll be
happy when WE, his children will be happy. This suggests that there
shall be NO SIN on earth so that everyone can live happily and let
Buddha smile
Manan Shamihoke: Thus it can be interpreted as a message from Buddha
himself and the choice is ours... whether we want to do good things
and allow him to smile and bring us good luck or we want to
continue doing bad things and face the disastrous results
www.UrPercentile.com: OK WE RELATE IT TO THE ECONOMY OF EAST AND
SOUTH EAST ASIAN COUNTRIES , SHOULD THEY BE SMILING
Ankit Soni: TODAY THE ECONOMY OF ASIAN N SPECIALLY SOUTH EAST ASIAN,
THE ECONOMY IS JUST RISING N RISING, JUST BCOZ OF KNOWLEDGE N HARD
WORK AS TAUGHT TO THEM
Amit Kumar: Buddha smiling also signifies, as suggested, the
unprecedented growth South East Asian (where Buddhism had
influence, roots) countries are experiencing. With increasing
knowledge community, more young work force, fresh ideas the whole
world today wants to be part of its growth.
A.Jain: Buddha here suggests US and UK countries who have attained
their high goals and eternal.....but they have the rite 2 smile coz
of their hard work n knowledge they become developed ..but they
should be aware onw ...that countries like India are behind
them....n stop laughing
Debabrata nag: Buddha cannot smile today..as per the economy of the
east, south east is concerned....Though the economy has been showing
improvement, still the conditions are not desirable...One tsunami
has changed their course of life.....but still if we follow Buddha
the economy should not be the concern in the way to lead a TRUE LIFE
Manan Shamihoke: yes the life in south east has seen many agitated
moments... but then also people in these areas have not stopped
living, they are hopeful of a better tomorrow... they want to LIVE
life and not just drag it around... they're seeing an awakening by
following the Buddha's footsteps
Gunjan Rawat: economy of south east Asian countries is very
weak .....and struggling to reach a dignified point ...people still
living in penury ,destitute are high in number....comparing this
with what Buddha signifies is just the opposite.....though he is
smiling ...the economy of these countries are not
Ankit Soni: DO REMEMBER THAT ALL ASIAN COUNTRIES WERE NOT
INDEPENDANT AS DEVELOPLED NATIONS LIKE UK AS TOLD. YES , THE LIFE
OF DEVELOPED AND DEVELOPING NATIONS ARE TOALLY DIFF
Amit Kumar: But natural calmity control is beyond human's reach.
Parallely, In US too, hurricanes had destroyed life, destructed
property. Smiling Buddha is way of life. Be patient, keep trying
thats the way of life
Debabrata nag: Still they have recovered well and struggling hard,
they are satisfied, that is true SUCCESS, now I think BUDDHA can
smile
A.Jain: Buddha had it roots in china and India mainly ...though it
attained immaterial supremacy. but todays need is also material
happiness ...by achieving spiritual knowledge one should just not
be happy..like china and India, ..it need 2 develop like America n
England
Manan Shamihoke: Yes indeed.... Buddha shall always smile because
today's man wants to eradicate all bad things from earth because
man also want to live a peaceful life as suggested by Buddha.
www.UrPercentile.com: THANKS , SUGGEST EVERYONE TO GIVE ONE
CONCULDING STATEMENT ON THE TOPIC
Debabrata nag: Smiling always helps one to overcome most of the
difficulties in life just like that, and laughing BUDDHA should be
inspirational for struggling people. We can conclude that in
today's world what we need to improve our morale, to boost our
confidence, is a SMILING BUDDHA
Ankit Soni: SMILING BUDHHA SHOULD BE THERE TO ERADICATE THE MENTAL
SORROWS OF LIFE TO OVERCOME THOSE FACED IN LIFE
Gunjan Rawat: though these countries are still in developing and
under developed phase ...they are moving ahead with
confidence.....the time when their economy is in a good position
will come .....though Buddha is not smiling today he sure will in
near future
Manan Shamihoke: To conclude... I shall state that YES, BUDDHA SHALL
SMILE. Buddha shall smile because human race is still fighting
against sins. Because people here are following his footsteps and
the way to prosperity. Because his smile will bring all the good
luck to us and motivate us... hence... Buddha shall always smile and
keep smiling
Amit Kumar: Buddha should smile as on human side it indicates,
facing adversities with cheerful mode. On the other side, Asian
Countries are on growing side
A.Jain: smile and laugh are best medicines but one cant just
progress with it ..along with it awakening must be there...Buddha
has the rite but after it achieves them
Ankit Soni: THANK U VERY MUCH......
Manan Shamihoke: Thanks to urpercentile... the topic was awesome...
Amit Kumar: Thanks once again
Debabrata nag: This topic was really a tricky one, I would like to
request urpercentile to elaborately discuss the topic
Manan Shamihoke: Something to improve... allow others who read these
GDs on group... to give their points...this will really help us and everyone else... and
will give a chance to others who because of some reasons could not
participate in the GD
Ankit Soni: YES, I ALSO REQUES THIS TO ELABORATE AND WHT ELSE COULD
HAVE BEEN TALKED ABOUT
Comments by Urpercentile Members ->
Kshitij : I believe one could also take the topic "SHOULD BUDDHA SMILE" at a more local level. Buddha here would refer to the West Bengal Chief Minister, who definitely has a LOT to smile about right now. A Communist party acquiring land for a private sector business house is definitely going to raise eyebrows. The CM managed to tackle this well. The only thorn in his flesh could have been Miss Mamata Banerjee of the Trinamool Congress. However, with her party going on a rampage, destroying public property and demolishing furniture at the assembly, she has definitely been put on a backfoot. To make matters worse, the Maoists are hijacking the Singur issue and making it their own cause. What does an opposition party do in such a case, especially in Bengal? Why, call a strike off course! and thats what she did. But that backfired too, and i myself went to catch a movie on that day, which goes to show how effective the strike was. That wasnt all. She called a 48 hour strike after that. And, since that was not well received even by her own party members, she had to backtrack and call it off "for the time being". TMC;s and Miss Banerjee's credibility has taken a huge beating, and thats a great enough reason for our own BUDDHA to smile from ear to ear.
Subhash : Hi, I m subhash daga,b.com and ca pe2.
I would have started with --
when does one smile --only when one is happy . so budda ,if alive
would smile only when he would have been happy.and he would have been
happy if every one understood what he taught and followed it .
He all
through his life strived to spread the message of god--the ways to
reach the almighty.
he strived to make a world free of sins and ignorance.
have we achieved such a world --ofcourse not.
but world was not perfect even when he lived --but he still smiled --
because he had the conviction that he and his disciples would purge
the society.
He smilled to cheer the people around him and remove
sadness and plight of people.
He would now smile only if we his --disciples followed his footsteps.
If we worked towards his goals.
if we could achieve to spread even a glimmer of hope in the life of a
destitute --if we could achieve to bring a smile in the life of
aperson ---budda would be happy--and hence smile.
Yes buddha should smile --even though not everyone but many try to
follow his footsteps and strive to make a heaven on earth.
thanks
Aman: Hello people,
First of all Merry Christmas and a very happy new year to all of you guys, hope you people get through your GDs and let the smiling buddha bring good luck to all of us. I just want to thank UrPercentile group for this good work because so many people are benifitted who dont get a chance to attend the mock Gds in person. This example of GD was really awesome and thats why i thought of replying back and appreciate the good work... I would have mentioned all the points until when Urpercentile reffered it to speak with respect to east asian countries... I am in Thailand now and can better understand this aspect of the topic. Please keep this going and Urpercentile can give tips on how to improve in the GDs and earn the brownie points.
Regards,
Aman
