4) BRIEF DESCRIPTION ABOUT THE INTERVIEW : Well my interview went on quite well. I have a work experience of around 42 months. So my interview was totally based on my work-ex. There were three members, one was the operations faculty from bimtech and the other two were HR persons from industry. The interview started up well. Even at one point they praised my answer. Inbetween to distract my attention, they used to attend phone calls. While one of industry person was trying to stress me out, the other was quite receptive. And after the interview was over, I had got the opportunity to interact with one of the panel members. He seemed to be impressed by my answers.
5) KIND OF QUESTIONS ASKED : Introduce yourself. Why MBA? Why Now? The link between my studies and my profession. Problems faced in your job. Suggestions/changes made by you in your organization. Turnover of the organization. If you are stuck while doing you work, will you bribe the official to get your work done? Why would we select you over others?
6) DURATION OF THE INTERVIEW: 15-20 minutes
7) HOW WAS YOUR PERFORMANCE : It was a good one. I handled the questions well.
8) AREAS WHERE YOU COULD HAVE PERFORMED BETTER : Well I could have done better. I feel that I couldn’t explore the opportunity well. I couldn’t drive the interview towards the other facet of me. But when I asked about this to one of the panel members later, he told it was fine. I’ve work-ex, and I should explore that, which I had done.

11) HOW URPERCENTILE.COM HELPED : I had an extensive interview session with urpercentile for about 1 & half an hour. So from that interview I came to know my positives and negatives, and the sectors I need to work on more. So it was an useful session.

7) BRIEF DESCRIPTION ABOUT THE GD : We were 13 people in the group and were asked to sit in ascending order of registration number. The topic was “Privatisation of Higher Education”. Initially each of us had to speak on the GD topic for a minute. Later the open GD was held for 15 minutes. At the end of 15 minutes, those who were not able to speak were given a chance to speak. And at the end one of us, i.e., me was asked to summarize the discussion. 8) DURATION OF THE GD: 15 minutes

10) AREAS WHERE YOU COULD HAVE PERFORMED BETTER (Minimum 50 words): Well when I was asked to summarize I went on well, but towards the end I added some views of my own. I feel I shouldn’t have added that. Rest went on well.

12) YOUR SUGGESTIONS FOR THE UrPERCENTILE.COM SUBSCRIBERS PREPARING FOR GD : Well be clear in your thoughts. Put your points in a way that everyone takes your point & continues with that for atleast one or two interventions. Keep eye contact with every member. If you are responding to someone, then start looking at that person and later have eye contact with others. Don’t look at the panel members. Don’t have parallel conversation. Try to speak for 2-3 times, and then if you are not heard, then retract.
13) FEEDBACK ON URPERCENTILE.COM : Well, the online GD sessions on urpercentile was quite helpful to me in enhancing my skills of competing in a group and further how to act as a group, not as monologues. It was really an enthralling experience.
