HERE ARE SOLUTIONS OF SOME OF THE QUESTIONS, THE
REST MAY BE SOLVED USING THE SAME METHOD.
Ans 1 : The correct answer is option 5 . Check the following
examples.
1) 8 numbers are 44 and 12 numbers are 54
2) 8 numbers are 44 and 12 numbers are 54
3) 8 numbers are 56 and 12 numbers are 46
4) 8 numbers are 56 and 12 numbers are 46
Ans 2 : Option 4 is the correct answer.
Minimum Avg= (11*50-100)/10 = 45
Maximum Avg= (11*50-1)/10 =54.9
Ans 3 : 17*17 – X = 16.5*16 =>X= 25
Ans 4. Avg. of 37 employees is 27 , so sum = 37*27=999
As one employees goes and one comes in, the total employee
remain same.
New Avg = 25 , so new sum = 37*25= 925
Difference between the Two sums = 999-925= 74
The person who left had a salary of 99. (UrPercentile.com)
So the person who joined will have 99-74= 25.
Ans 10. (16*22-x)/14=23 , x=30
thus 2 consecutive prime nos are 13,17.
Hint : As the prime numbers are consecutive, they are likely to be
near and around 30/2 = 15. (UrPercentile.com)
Ans 13. Avg of 22 numbers is 29. So sum = 22*29= 638.
After removing 3 numbers the avg. becomes 31.
So new sum = (22-3)*31= 589
Difference= 49.
The three consecutive prime numbers can only be 13,17,19.
Hint : As the prime numbers are consecutive, they are likely to be
near and around 49/3 = 16.33. (UrPercentile.com)
Ans 17 . Sum = 28*19=532
new sum = 31*21= 651
Difference = 119.
So A+B+C=119 ---(i)
as B-A=3 or B=A+3 ---(ii)
C-A=5 or C= A+5 ----- (iii)
put value of (ii) and (iii) in (i)
A+(A+3)+(A+5)= 119
so A=37
put value of A in (ii) and (iii) to get value of B and C
B= 50 and C=42
Ans 26 : Both statement are false.

The ninth planet, Pluto, is believed to be a survivor of an early
subclass of bodies in the solar system called icy dwarfs." And "But the discovery of many `hot Jupiters' (circling close to the
parent star) as well as frequently non-circular orbits is at
